Ash's 26th Birthday!

We celebrated Ash's birthday after classes by going out to dinner.  Ash had picked out an Italian place near the Kelvinhall subway, so we loaded up our subway cards and headed that way.  Sadly, when we got across the street from the restaurant we could clearly tell it wasn't open.  There was a note on the door, but it was too far away to read from the other side of the road, so we just assumed they had closed for an unforeseen reason and looked at each other like, "okay...what now"?

Luckily Ash was able to look up another Italian restaurant just around the next block called Tony Macaroni's. It was actually pretty nice!  It was true Italian dining 'cause we were there for roughly 3 hours.  They don't want to rush you, eating is more of a social event to the Italians and it's meant to take a long time.  Finally, after our main courses were over, we decided to get dessert.  Ash got a super delicious looking brownie, Aaron got some gelato, and I had a really yummy apple tart (that I found a hair in, buuuut what can you do.  They took it off my bill, so hey!).  A guy, who I could only assume was the manager, came and sang her happy birthday in the most robust rendition of Happy Birthday I've ever heard.  Overall, it was a great place that I'd definitely go to again (despite the hair thing...)

After dinner Ash wanted to watch a Halloween movie, so we hopped back on the Subway, took a cab the rest of the way home, and watched Hocus Pocus. Overall I hope she had a good birthday!
