Today we decided to hit a few museums that we've heard about before arriving, the Kelvingrove Art Gallery & Museum and the Riverside Museum and Tall Ship. We headed to the subway to buy an all-day ticket, which allows you unlimited subway rides for the whole day. As I've mentioned before, the subway system is pretty easy here, they have an inner track going one way and an outer track going the opposite way.

We started at Hillhead and got on the inner circle for the Kelvinhall stop to walk the rest of the way to the Kelvingrove museum. It turns out that it's very close to campus, just in the opposite direction of our temporary dorms.
It's in a beautiful building and behind the museum is the Kelvingrove park, which is also very beautiful. They have a huge, colorful organ on one of the walls and we somehow, luckily showed up 15 minutes before that day's recital. We walked around a little and then looped back around to hear the recital. The first song he played was from Phantom of the Opera! It gave me goosebumps.
We then finished out our time at Kelvingrove by visiting the gift shops downstairs. They had a comic book exhibit next to the gift shops that cost £5 pounds to enter, and I didn't want to spend the money. Aaron went into the exhibit, though, and showed me pictures and told me what it was like.
After Kelvingrove we stopped at a place calling the Monkey Dumpling and got some dumplings for a snack (walking as much as we do, we end up burning off our breakfast really quickly). We then hopped back on the subway to the Partick stop, and then walked roughly a quarter mile to the Riverside Museum. It's right on the River Clyde, so we finally got to see quite a bit of water. The Riverside Museum is relatively new, so many of the informational plaques were electronic and interactive. It mostly displayed old cars, bikes, trains, and subway cars, which were all really cool to see! In the back of the museum, on the River Clyde, is an old ship, called the Tall Ship, that you can go on and look through. Sadly, it closed right before we got there as most museums close at 5pm. We'll have to go back another day to adventure through the ship.
Overall, it was a great day, probably one of my favorite days so far!
